of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Shannon Donnick, Senior Manager of Loss & Healing Programs, has been with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), focusing specifically on Healing Conversations, our peer support program for suicide loss survivors, since 2016. As a survivor of her grandmother’s suicide, Shannon has been able to combine her personal perspective on suicide loss with prior training and work experience, including that of crisis response. An experienced suicide bereavement support group facilitator, Shannon has facilitated numerous peer groups for adults who have been impacted by the loss of their siblings, parents, spouses, friends and coworkers to suicide.
